Attempts for a normal life

In the end I made it, I have composed a handful of brand-new songs. I hope to complete them all within a year or two, as long as I have enough time to record them (yep, this time it will take way longer!). They are songs full of rain and dew – and thus quite Dutch – especially with respect to their lyrics: cryptical, hard to understand, with light references to what the Dutch experience has meant to me. Then, do not ask me anything else, I do not even know how they might look like! All I can say is that it is good stuff, but way more complex with respect to the past.
Then, well, next 20th of November I will attend the Crossing Border festival in The Hague, and a few days later I’ll be back in Groningen at the concer of Jónsi Birgisson, that is the lead singer of Sigur Rós – everything sounding like a short anticipation of my next journey to Iceland, which is expected to happen next summer. That’s basically my own way to live my life in a normal country such as the Netherlands. About non-normal countries such as Italy, I do not even want to hear about them again: call me an anti-Italian (and I probably am such kind of man to some extent, since I have always thought of Italy as an artificial country), however I am not willing to get angry and lose my patience due to a country full of unscrupolous ignorants and bigots who are completely uninterested to things such as common good and future. I have a different kind of forma mentis, that did not come to hit me on the head from the sky but it is just the result of years of various, different experiences, all linked by my aim to understand how are things working in the world (in the world, not in Italy) now, in this third millennium; and – let me say that – I am quite proud of such experiences. Groetjes.
