Southern Lights official release announcement

I am glad to unveil SOUTHERN LIGHTS, my new album of original music. Twelve songs in English and Sicilian, twelve stories of traveling, people, casual events and introspective moments of life.

For this album, Angelo Romano (guitar, vocals, ukulele bass and synthesizers) was joined by additional instrumentalists and artists: María Borrell on cello and Nacho López on violin, plus smaller additional contributions of Juan Manuel Castrillo as sound art collaborator and Davy Lyons, who sings backing vocals on one of the tunes.

  • Angelo Romano: lead vocals, guitars, bass ukulele, backing vocals, synthesizer, synthpad, field recordings, album production, mixing and mastering, original artwork
  • María Borrell: cello
  • Nacho López: violin

Additional personnel:

  • Juan Manuel Castrillo: sound art collaboration, field recordings on “Na cusciuliata pû mari”
  • Davy Lyons: backing vocals on “The Great Void”

Recorded by Mariano Toledano at Akrasonic Productions (L’Hospitalet de Llobregat). Additional recordings made at Angelo’s basement (Barcelona).

All songs written by Angelo Romano.

With special thanks to Oliver Hasse for his production support throughout the mixing process.
